Via Francigena For All is one of the most significant initiatives presented in 2022 by the Piedmont Region on the occasion of a call for proposals by the Presidency of the Council of Ministers. The project aims to make 2 of the stages of the Piedmontese Via Francigena more accessible to allow everyone to enjoy the beauty of this historic path.
For the development of Via Francigena For All it is a multidisciplinary team was created, composed of professionals, public bodies and associations.
Following a mapping of the territory and an analysis of the critical issues, the necessary interventions were identified to make the itineraries more accessible and to guarantee a 360° inclusive tourist experience.
To achieve these objectives, various activities were implemented: creation of rest areas and signs multisensorial along the itineraries, adaptation of accommodation facilities, training of local tourism operators, implementation of websites and communication channels.
Today, thanks to the Via Francigena For All project, the Canavesano Ivrea-Viverone itinerary and the Valle di Susa Villar Focchiardo-Avigliana variant of the Via Francigena offer an accessible and inclusive 360° tourist experience.
B-Free has supported the improvement of accessibility of the itineraries.
Soon online on our website you will find all the details of the itineraries of Via Francigena For All.
